What Splitwise does better
- Your friends may already be on it. Splitwise has 10 million+ installs on Google Play, and lock-in runs through friends: a group that already lives there has a reason to stay.
- Many currencies. It accepts expenses in 100+ currencies, and Pro converts them at the day's exchange rates. Easy Hisab is built for rupees.
- Recurring bills and multiple payers. Bills that repeat weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly, and several payers on a single expense.
- History tools. An edit history for every expense, restore of deleted groups and bills, and comments on expenses.
- On iPhone today. Splitwise is on Android, iPhone and the web. Easy Hisab's iPhone app is in App Store review; until then iPhone users use it in the browser.
How to move from Splitwise
There is no import from Splitwise, and you do not need one. Start from where each balance stands today, not from the history.
- In Splitwise, note each person's current balance: who has to pay whom, and how much. Its free CSV export keeps the full history if you want it.
- In Easy Hisab, create the group, or add each friend. Friends who will not install anything still get an account on your side.
- Add one entry per person for the balance that carries over, with a note such as “carried over from Splitwise”. Typing “Rahul has to pay 1350, carried over” is enough.
- From today, add every new spend in Easy Hisab. Settle the old balances over UPI whenever it suits you; the payment is recorded against them.

Is Easy Hisab better than Splitwise?
For most groups in India, yes: Easy Hisab has no daily cap on entries, reads bills, screenshots and bank statement PDFs, settles through any UPI app, works in Hindi, and keeps an account with friends who never install the app. Splitwise is the better pick for a trip abroad with several currencies, or when the whole group is already on it.
Does Easy Hisab have a daily limit like Splitwise?
No. Easy Hisab has no limit on how many entries you add, on any plan; only AI reading has a monthly allowance, and typing by hand is never capped. Splitwise's free plan has limited how many expenses you can add per day since late 2023; Splitwise Pro removes the cap.
Can I import my Splitwise data into Easy Hisab?
No, there is no import. Start with current balances instead: note who has to pay whom in Splitwise, add one entry per person in Easy Hisab with a note that it is carried over, and add every new spend in Easy Hisab from then on. Splitwise's CSV export keeps the old history.
Does Splitwise work in Hindi?
No. As of October 2026 the Indian App Store lists Splitwise in English and 11 other languages, none of them Indian. Easy Hisab has a full Hindi interface and understands Hindi and Hinglish entries such as Ramesh ko 500 diye.
