Easy Hisab

Easy Hisab vs Splid: which should you use in India?

By the Easy Hisab team · Updated 22 October 2026 · Splid facts as of October 2026

The short answer: for groups in India, Easy Hisab is the better pick over Splid. An entry is one typed or spoken line in Hindi or English, or a photo, screenshot or statement PDF; you can keep as many groups as you like for free; and settlement opens whichever UPI app you use. Easy Hisab is always free for unlimited entries, groups and people; you pay only for AI use beyond the free monthly allowance. It works completely offline, so a trek, a village visit or a flight still gets recorded and syncs later; only AI reading of photos and statements waits for a connection. Splid is the better pick in one case: a one-off trip abroad, in several currencies, with people who will not sign up for anything. We make Easy Hisab, so read the table and judge for yourself.

What Splid does better

How to move from Splid

There is no import from Splid, and you do not need one. Start from where each balance stands today, not from the history.

  1. In Splid, note each person's current balance: who has to pay whom, and how much. Splid's PDF summary keeps the old history.
  2. In Easy Hisab, create the group, or add each friend. Friends who will not install anything still get an account on your side.
  3. Add one entry per person for the balance that carries over, with a note such as “carried over from Splid”. Typing “Rahul has to pay 1350, carried over” is enough.
  4. From today, add every new spend in Easy Hisab. Settle the old balances over UPI whenever it suits you; the payment is recorded against them.

Frequently asked questions

Is Easy Hisab better than Splid?

For groups in India, yes: Easy Hisab has unlimited free groups, reads bills, screenshots and bank statement PDFs, settles through any UPI app, and works in Hindi. Splid is the better pick for a one-off trip abroad in several currencies with people who will not sign up for anything.

Does Splid need a sign-up?

No. Splid works without an account, and a group can be shared with no sign-up. Easy Hisab needs a phone number to sign in, and a friend who never signs up still gets an account on your side and a read-only link to their balance.

Is Splid free?

Splid is free for one group. More groups and Excel export are one-time in-app purchases, such as Splid Plus. Easy Hisab is free for unlimited groups, people and entries; only AI reading beyond the free monthly allowance is paid.

Do both apps work offline?

Yes. Splid can keep a group completely offline, with sync optional. Easy Hisab saves every entry on the phone first, so you can add spends, split them and see every balance with no signal, and it syncs when you are back; only AI reading of photos and statements waits for a connection.

Does Splid work in Hindi or with UPI?

No. Splid has no Hindi interface and no UPI settlement; it shows who has to pay whom and you pay outside the app. Easy Hisab has a full Hindi interface, understands Hindi and Hinglish entries, and opens any UPI app with the amount filled in.

What do I pay for in Easy Hisab?

Only extra AI use. Entries, groups, splits, accounts with friends, budgets, UPI settlement, offline and export are free with no limit, and stay free. The free plan includes a monthly allowance of AI-parsed entries (50 typed, 10 voice, 10 receipt or screenshot scans, 2 statement PDFs). Pro, at ₹99 a month or ₹899 a year, raises those to 2,000, 500, 150 and 10 and adds more photo space. When the allowance is used up you can still type entries by hand without limit.
